The Pram by Joe Hill

Dear old Joe did it again, I love his work its often darker than his father Stephen King, he has come far and made a name for himself with out his fathers help and this short story only 58 pages is a reflection of that.

The synopsis is simple, a couple just lost a pregnancy and moved to the country side where bad things happen to them.

And a man gets the child he has wanted for so long or does he?

What I liked about it- It got to the point quick as short stories tend to do, it was dark, gritty and I am all for it. The characters where very well done to the point that you feel their side and reasoning as to what everything is happening to them.

What I did not like - I didn't like that it was so short again 58 pages long, had it been a full novella it would have been amazing but it was a great story, I am all for short stories.

I give this story a 5 it was great short and creepy, I recommend this if you are looking for something you can finish in one sitting,

Now my fellow bookworms ( that sounds pretty yummy) it's time to bask.
